Do you have a child who loves to sing? Maybe they belt Disney songs at the top of their lungs or maybe they just want to feel more confident about their singing. Whatever the case, we know your child will love this group voice class for 9-13 year-olds!

Young Singer's Studio is a class where your child can develop foundational singing skills & performance techniques in a fun, friendly atmosphere.  Classes are designed to allow students of various ages and abilities to participate together, yet learn at their own skill level (and comfort level).

In Winter2 Session, we’ll enjoy singing a variety of  music from well-known Broadway productions.

Some songs are preselected, but the kids can also vote on their favorites and request a specific solo based on their favorite Broadway shows

What will Young Singers learn? Through a variety of fun vocal exercises, songs, and music games, Young Singers will

• Learn vocal techniques such as breath support, tone quality, diction, phrasing, etc.

• Develop performance skills including memorization, projection, expression & stage presence & more

• Express character voices & emotions learn how to use your voice differently based on characters and portray their emotions

• Sing with demo & performance tracks learning to trust your voice - and your ears

• Sing on stage in front of an audience! Young Singers who continue through Spring can perform at Ms. Holly’s end-of-year student recital!

Does  your  child  crave the spotlight or like to play a supporting role?

Either way, it’s ok in Young Singers Studio. Many children enjoy singing, but feel uncomfortable performing alone.  Other students jump up to the microphone ready to be the next contender on The Voice!  Our class allows shy students to build confidence in their vocal skills without  the  pressure of solos, while also allowing those who enjoy the spotlight to shine!

Young Singers perform as an ensemble and are also given opportunities to volunteer for solos. Solos are open to students of all skill levels with no audition required.

What’s included & expected?

• 45 minutes of instruction includes vocal warmups and games plus ensemble rehearsal & solo coaching

• In your Google Classroom you’ll have access to rehearsal materials including sheet music and/or lyrics, videos and vocal tracks, including both demonstration and performance tracks for all songs

• Please have your child practice at home between rehearsals so they feel confident during our classes and excited about performing for one another and for YOU!

Our performance will include choreography, props & costumes!
